Girls Varsity Soccer · Mia Moody–New Girls Soccer Coach


The MSD of Martinsville, on Thursday, April 19, 2018, approved the hiring of Mia Moody as Head Girls Soccer Coach at Martinsville High School.  Mia Moody has worked in many soccer coaching capacities over the past ten years.  Most recently, Coach Moody served as the head girls coach at Franklin Central High School, where her teams earned IHSAA Sectional titles in 2015 and 2016.  Her 2016 team advanced to the IHSAA Semi State after winning the regional.  Prior to her time at Franklin Central, Mia coached collegiately at St. Joseph’s College, Ithaca College and Valparaiso University in different capacities.  Originally a Roncalli High School graduate, Mia continued her playing career at the University of Texas and IUPUI, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.

Martinsville High School Athletic Director Kip Staggs stated, “We look forward to the direction of our girls’ soccer program under Mia Moody.  Her experiences as player and coach will be valuable as our soccer program moves forward.”   Girls soccer players and parents are invited to meet the coach and to find out about summer activities on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:00 pm, in Auditorium B at Martinsville High School.
