The girls’ XC team knew it would be the end of their season going into today’s race. With #2 runner Katie Reeves out due to an injury, and Courtney Kitchens falling prey to injury this week as well, the ladies knew they were running for the chance to move on as individuals to Semi-State. Even if the team doesn’t advance, the top 10 individual runners still get to compete at the next level. They ran their hearts out! Laci Eddelman ended her career in 81st place and Morgan Schrock was 55th with a 22.56. Earning personal best times today were Anika Worzella (47th) with a 22.23 and Sophia DeMoss in 40th place with a 21.52. Although these two ran awesome, they just missed out on moving on as individuals. In 17th place, and moving on to Semi State was Alina Worzella with a 20.21. Great season, ladies! Good luck next week, Alina!
