The boys tennis sectional will be held at Bloomington North from Wednesday, September 27-Friday, September 29. The Artesians have drawn Edgewood in the opening round of play on Wednesday, September 27 at 5:00 pm. The winner advances to play Bloomington South on Thursday, September 28 at 5:00 pm. This weekend the boys tennis team had a great showing at the Columbus East invitational. We had a great 3-2 win against Providence which is ranked 25th in the state. The boys tennis match at Franklin on Monday, August 21 has been postponed due to weather and will be played on Monday, August 28 at 5:00 at Franklin.
The boys tennis match with Bloomington North previously scheduled for August 14 has been moved to September 18. The match will be played at Martinsville beginning at 5:00 pm.

Hunter Sylvester started off his day at Bedford against Case Eisenhut of NE Dubois. Hunter played well throughout the match and won 6-0, 6-0. Hunter Sylvester advances in the IHSAA State Tennis Singles tournament by winning on Tuesday at Bedford. Hunter Sylvester (Martinsville) defeated Matt Furnish (Columbus East) 6-1, 6-1. Hunter’s next match will take place on October 15.
